About

With over 20 years in the field of education, I have researched and experienced many of the inequities present in public education. Through my career, I’ve also achieved significant successes as an educational leader, turning around schools in terms of academics, behavior, and developing high-quality systems for rigorous and equitable education opportunities, even in some of the toughest schools in Arizona.

Inspired by my passion for sharing knowledge and my appreciation for other educators' blogs, I created my own blog to share my experiences and insights with the world.

My Background

My name is Jennise Conley. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with a Secondary Education Certification from Illinois State University, a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Arizona State University, and have completed Doctoral work in Psychology with a focus on Cognition and Instruction. With over 20 years of experience in education, I began my career in the Chicago and Rockford Public Schools. After relocating to Arizona, I worked with over 50 Title 1 schools through my supplemental tutoring company. I have also served as a teacher, instructional coach, social-emotional learning specialist, and administrator in various Title 1 school districts. Having been an administrator for over 6 years, I am deeply committed to ensuring equitable educational opportunities for all students, regardless of race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status.
