About the Author
Robin LeeAnne was born in the South Suburbs of Chicago.
She holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology & business.
Professionally, she started out working in the salon industry. She went to school to receive her Nail Technician License (while attending college for her BS). She worked as a nail technician for many years and loved the beauty industry. She absolutely loved working with fashion, fabulous colors and designing new ideas.At the same time, she had a strong passion for education. Robin worked & volunteered in many school districts and grade levels. She always had a passion to help others. Giving back was always important to Robin. She began working for a non-profitorganization. It was at this time, where she began her true dream and passion to combine helping others with extraordinary flip flop fashion.
Robin started Francesca’s Fancy Flops. It was an amazing opportunity for Robin to combine the classic “flip-flop,” with bling and meaning. Today, Francesca’s Fancy Flops works with several non-profit organizations. A portion of each of these fancy flops goes directly to the non-profit organizations. Robin’s grandmother was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in 2013. This terrible cancer took her sweet grandmother’s life on June 8, 2013. She has a passion about spreading the word about Colon Cancer, cancer awareness & creating as many blue fancy flip flops as possible!
Today, Robin works with many non-profit organizations, such as breastcancer.org, Ovarian Cancer National Alliance, Colon Cancer Alliance & even an Animal Rescue in IL (Heartland Animal Shelter). Robin designs and creates many fancy flip flops for weddings, sports teams and so much more. She takes great pleasure in designing new flip flops for the women and girls today. Robin states, “Each pair of fancy flip flops are made here in Chicago with love and care. They are not made by an industrial machine & no two pairs of handmade fancy flops are exactly alike.” The best pair of these amazing flip flops is anything can be customized for their needs and desires. Customers have the idea & Robin creates it!
Francesca's Fancy flops have been worn by celebrities from Style Network’s Jerseylious, Bravo’s Real Housewives of Orange County, VH 1’s Mob Wives Chicago, VH 1’s Mob Wives, ABC’s the Bachelor, VH 1’s Basketball Wives, American Idol stars, Style Network’s Chicagolious to Full House star Candace Cameron Bruce and so much more! Francesca’s Fancy Flops was a part of the 2012 MTV Movie Awards Celebrity gift bags. They have been featured on Fox 2 News & numerous magazine/newspaper articles.
In years to come, Robin hopes to design more fabulous flip flops while helping out some amazing organizations.
