ESEI believes that media literacy as a natural integrator, involving it in virtually all areas of the curriculum. Students must use the media arts to develop into informed, critical thinkers of the mass media. ESEI focuses on the methods of cognition and instructon to examine the techniques, technologies, and institutions that are involved in media production; learn to critically analyze media messages; and recognize the roles that audiences play in making meaning from those messages.
