The goal for a student as a self-actualized individual is to have a balanced and well-integrated personality. One of ESEIs tasks will be to direct our learners inward to seek personal meaning and identity. Our students will be given continuous guidance and practice in making choices so that they will learn to recognize that they have agency over whom they are. We will also coach our students in making healthy choices, for we will see our students as the center of the learning process. They will become active participants in choosing to acquire knowledge and skills that can help them to interpret their world. Learners will be shown how to evaluate themselves through daily activities, trimester evaluations, and digital portfolios. Equal opportunity for development will be evident throughout the curriculum. By providing freedom, choice, and equality, EEI will seek to create an independent, creative, and inventive school culture.
